Resume

Yongchang Wu, a native of Fuzhou, Fujian, is a lecturer and holds a Ph.D. in Engineering. He had the opportunity to be a visiting scholar at North Carolina State University, USA. He completed his undergraduate studies in Road, Bridge, and River Crossing Engineering at the College of Highway, Chang'an University, and obtained his doctorate in Road Material Science and Engineering from the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Chang'an University. He commenced his tenure at Chang'an University in July 2020.

His primary research interests lie in the preparation technology of functional road materials, performance modeling, and theoretical mechanism investigation. He has been at the helm of key provincial-level projects in Qinghai, leading seven projects at both provincial and enterprise levels. As a major contributor, he has participated in two National Natural Science Foundation of China projects. Moreover, he spearheaded one educational science research topic under the Transportation Education Research Association and took part in a key project on higher education teaching reform in Shaanxi Province.

He has been honored with two provincial and ministerial-level scientific research awards. He has published ten academic papers in reputable journals such as Construction and Building Materials, Journal of Cleaner Production, and Journal of Materials Science. Additionally, he has been granted seven national patents and contributed to the compilation of three industry and local standards.


Social position

Research

The primary focus of research revolves around transportation paving materials, encompassing:

(1) Ice-road adhesion mechanisms and prevention and control technologies;

(2) High-performance road cold patch materials;

(3) Asphalt-based material genomics.
