Personal Profile

Qiuling Wang , an Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Institute of Comprehensive Transportation System Analysis at Chang'an University's College of Transportation Engineering. I hold a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering and have completed postdoctoral research in Civil Engineering. I also served as a fully funded visiting scholar at the University of Texas at Austin, a prestigious Ivy League institution in the United States. I supervise both master students and doctoral students in my role.

In recent years, I have  led or participated in over 40 research projects, including key projects supported by the National Social Science Foundation, the National Natural Science Foundation, major projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, key research and development programs of Shaanxi Province, as well as research projects funded by the Shaanxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation, the Shaanxi Provincial Soft Science Foundation, the Shaanxi Provincial Social Science Major Theoretical and Practical Issues Research Project, and the Xi'an Municipal Social Science Planning Fund. I also published more than 40 papers in prestigious domestic and international journals and presented my research at academic conferences.

My primary research areas encompass multimodal transportation, transportation economics, transportation system modeling and simulation, transportation big data and artificial intelligence, collaborative control of transportation systems, and low-carbon transportation systems.

In recent years, I have undertaken and participated in over 40 research projects, including key projects supported by the National Social Science Foundation, major projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, key research and development programs of Shaanxi Province, as well as research projects funded by the Shaanxi Provincial Natural Science Foundation, the Shaanxi Provincial Soft Science Foundation, the Shaanxi Provincial Social Science Major Theoretical and Practical Issues Research Project, and the Xi'an Municipal Social Science Planning Fund.

In the past three years, I have received several notable awards and honors:

2020: First Prize in the Shaanxi Provincial Transportation Science and Technology Award.

2021: Named one of the  Sanqin Youth Science and Technology Service Star  in the second edition of the awards organized by the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Shaanxi Provincial Youth Federation, the Shaanxi Provincial Association for the Promotion of High-level Talents, and the Shaanxi Provincial Association of Young Science and Technology Workers. (Only 10 individuals in the entire province received this honor.)

2022: Second Prize in the 15th Shaanxi Province Natural Science Excellent Academic Paper Award.

2011 to September 2017: Associate Professor at Chang'an University.

September 2017 to September 2018: Visiting Scholar at the University of Texas at Austin in the United States.

December 2018 to December 2019: Deputy Director at the Yanta District Transportation Bureau in Xi'an City.

April 2020 to the present: Associate Professor at Chang'an University's College of Transportation Engineering and Deputy Director of the Institute of Comprehensive Transportation System Analysis.
