Resume

Dr. Siyuan Gong is an Associate Professor in the School of Information Engineering at Chang’an University (China). Before joining Chang’an University in 2018, he was a research associate in USDOT Center of Connected and Autonomous Transportation at Purdue University (USA). He received his Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology (USA) in 2017; the master’s degree in Transportation Planning and Management fromJilin University (China) in 2013; and the Bachelor degree in Automobile Application Engineering from Jilin University (China) in 2010. His research focuses on the platoon and lane change control of connected and autonomous vehicle, the information propagation via wireless communication in transportation networks, and the cooperative parking schemes in CBD area. He published several papers in the top journal of Transportation, such as Transportation Research Part B: Methodological, and Transportation Research Part C: Emerging Technologies. He is the member of Transportation Research Board Emerging Technologies in Network Modeling Subcommittee. His Ph.D. dissertation is listed in the Finalist of the COTA best dissertation award 2018 (No. 3 in finalist). Currently, he is serving as the inviting reviewers in Transportation Research Part B: Methodological, Transportation Research Part C: Emerging Technologies, Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice etc.
