Resume
Since starting my teaching career, I have always remained on the frontline of education and dedicated over 20 years to the field of college English teaching, developing a distinctive teaching approach that emphasizes both language proficiency cultivation and cultural inheritance. I have undertaken the teaching of multiple general liberal arts courses, including College English, English Newspaper and Magazine Reading, Oral English Communication, College English Core Competence (Reading), and Academic English Listening. My annual teaching hours exceed 400, and I have consistently completed more than the required teaching workload for many years. In my teaching, I adopt a culture introduction + project-driven model, integrating elements such as traditional Chinese culture and Chinese philosophy into the classroom. I also offer the featured course Talking About Chinese Culture in English and participate in teaching Intangible Cultural Heritage Studies, which are highly popular among students. In terms of guiding students in academic competitions, I have helped students win numerous national and provincial awards. I place special emphasis on fostering students' critical thinking skills. When guiding students in the FLTRP Cup Speech Contest, I used a thematic hierarchical analysis method, which helped students win the first prize in the Shaanxi Division in 2013. In 2018 and 2022, the students I guided won the first and second prizes respectively in the National English Competition for College Students. In 2023, my students obtained the Bronze Award in the Shaanxi Division of the FLTRP · Guocai Cup Translation Contest, and in 2024, they won the national third prize in the National College Students English Composition Competition. In 2025, the students under my guidance received the third prize of Shaanxi Province in the 5th Telling China Stories in English Competition. My teaching efforts have also yielded remarkable results. I participated in the Excellent Foreign Language Micro-course Collection and Exchange Activity organized by Higher Education Press and won the first prize in the Shaanxi Division. While fulfilling my teaching duties, I also actively take on social responsibilities. For years, I have traveled to many places in Zhejiang Province to carry out university enrollment promotion and publicity work, which has received positive responses. I have repeatedly served as a course leader, actively participating in the development of online courses and organizing activities such as syllabus revision, test proposition, and teaching seminars. I have been awarded honors such as Outstanding Teacher of Chang'an University and Outstanding Communist Party Member of Institutions of Higher Education in Shaanxi Province. The passing rate of CET-4 (College English Test Band 4) of the classes I have taught has always remained among the top. In 2023, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Project for College Students titled International Students · Enjoy Reading China, which I guided, was selected as an Excellent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Project of Chang'an University.
