Dr. Yasong Sun is a professor at Chang’an University. He is a director of Shaanxi Youth Science and Technology Workers Association, Shaanxi society of Automotive Engineering; a senior member of China Highway and Transportation Society; a member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Aircraft Industries Association of America, and Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics. His research interests are thermal barrier coatings for gas turbine blades, thermal management and rapid cooling, and computational fluid dynamics in energy and power system. He has published over 100 journal papers (including 6 ESI papers) and one book. In these papers, over 60 papers have been published in SCI journals, such as Energy Conversion and Management, Energy, International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, and so on. These published papers have been cited over 1000 times in the SCI database, and H-index is 22. He has received the following academic honors: Shaanxi Province Funds for Distinguished Young Youths, International Clean Energy Talent, Excellent Young Teacher Award of Henry Ying Tung Fok Education Foundation, Qinling Ecological and Environmental Protection Young Scholar, Young Chang'an Scholar.

Dr. Sun has a rich experience in international research experiments. He is an international clean energy talent, a visiting scholar at Rutgers University, Oxford University and Nottingham University. Besides, he has a good ability in reviewing and editing English manuscripts. He has been invited as a reviewer by 30 SCI journals. He has been awarded as Outstanding Reviewers by various prestigious international journals, including Energy Conversion and Management, Energy, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Applied Thermal Engineering, and International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer. 

He is invited as the editorial board member of Coatings, Aerospace Systems, International Journal of Fluid Mechanics and Thermal Sciences, and the Young Editorial Board Member of Energy Storage and Saving, Chinese Journal of Engineering, etc. Otherwise, He has also been invited as session chair in several international conferences, such as SDEWES2016 in Lisbon, NEFES2017 in Kunming, SDEWES2017 in Dubrovnik, TFEC2019 in Las Vegas, GPPS2021 in Xi’an, EENES2024 in Xi'an.
