Dr. Xia is an associate professor in building science. He obtained his Ph.D. from Tongji University, one of the national key universities in China. His research interests include green building, building energy conservation and urban physical environment. He has presided over or participated in more than 10 research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Ministry of Science and Technology of China (MSTC) and Shaanxi Department of Science and Technology. He is now working on green design of traffic buildings, urban microclimate and thermal comfort research, and green design of Chinese traditional villages.
