ResumeResearch Gate: https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Shuai-Xu-39/publications His research focuses on the reaction mechanisms of heterogeneous catalysis and the high-value conversion of biomass, with particular emphasis on the selective depolymerization of lignin, the cleavage mechanisms of key chemical bonds, and the regulation of catalytic interfaces. He was a jointly trained doctoral student at the University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy, where he conducted research under the supervision of Professor Gianfranco Pacchioni, a computational chemistry expert and member of the Accademia dei Lincei (Italian National Academy of the Lincei). He was selected for the Doctoral Student Special Program of the Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), and for the National Funded Postdoctoral Researchers Program (Tier C). He has served as principal investigator for projects including the Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Youth Program of the Natural Science Foundation of Shaanxi Province, the Shaanxi Postdoctoral Research Project, and the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. He has published 34 SCI-indexed papers, of which 18 are as first author (including co-first author) or corresponding author. His work has appeared in Nature Communications, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, ACS Catalysis, and other journals. Five of his papers have been recognized as ESI Highly Cited Papers, with a total of over 1,800 citations. He holds 4 granted Chinese invention patents. He serves as a reviewer for Nature Communications, Chemical Engineering Journal, Separation and Purification Technology, Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, and Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering.
