Resume

     Zhang Jiupeng, born in May 1983 in Yancheng of Jiangsu province. Doctor of engineering, associate professor, supervisor of master's degree,University of Illinois at Urbana and Champaign (UIUC) visiting scholar, currently assistant dean of the institute of highway, chang 'an University.

 He is the keynote teacher of road engineering materials, which named national excellent course, national excellent resource sharing course, as the same time he isthe core members of the team of the highway engineering courses national teaching, and the road engineering materials in Shaanxi province teaching, Participate in the preparation of teaching materials 3.

     In recent years, he has presided over 7 research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and participated in more than 10 projects at other provincial and ministerial levels. Published more than 70 academic papers, including SCI retrieval 27, EI search more than 33 articles, published 1 monographs, authorized more than 10 patents, won 3 awards for science and technology, and won the honorary title of Shaanxi Youth Science and technology new star.

Research

1.Granular behavior characteristics and interfacial interaction mechanism of asphalt mixtures

   1) Geometry of asphalt mixtures with rich aggregates particles and quantitative characterization parameters and evaluation methods of surface morphology were proposed through two dimensions and three dimensions, Euclidean geometry and fractal geometry.

    2) A step algorithm for the inclusion of high body fraction was proposed, the microcrack morphology and probability density distribution parameters were quantized, a detailed mechanical model of asphalt mixture with particle inclusion and micro cracks was established and the performance prediction of composite materials with high volume fraction inclusion and multiclass inclusion were solved.

    3) The model and evaluation index of asphalt - aggregate - water interaction were established, and the adhesion and peeling mechanism of asphalt - aggregate interface was revealed.

  

2.Viscoelastic deformation mechanism of asphalt pavement in complex environment and prevention control countermeasures of rutting

    1) Rheological behavior of asphalt mixtures under high temperature, heavy load and slow traffic was analyzed, the time-temperature-stress equivalence of asphalt mixture was found, viscoelastic mechanical model of asphalt mixtures with coupling damage was established and The model can be used to describe the three stage deformation characteristics of asphalt mixture migration period, stabilization period and failure stage.

    2) The correlation model of the structure decay behavior and macroscopic mechanical properties is established from the perspective of the distribution of aggregate force chain and the stability of the skeleton, the migration of asphalt mortar and the decay of the void and the multi-level design method of anti-rutting asphalt mixture was presented.

    3) Analysis method of asphalt pavement rutting under continuous temperature change was established, development rule of asphalt pavement rutting under transient temperature field was revealed and a high temperature warning mechanism was proposed to prevent rutting.

  

3.Development and application of environment-friendly asphalt pavement materials

    1) Characteristics of asphalt emission and its influencing factors were studied, warm mix asphalt viscosity reducer based on component adjustment was researched and reduce construction temperature and pollution discharge.

    2) Vehicle emission characteristics and photocatalytic purification mechanism under the condition of enclosure and weak illumination in tunnel was analyzed, the exhaust gas purification test system was developed and the improved purification efficiency of the exhaust gas purifying materials is developed.

    3) The characteristics of asphalt combustion and its influencing factors were studied, Synergistic flame retardant based on organic inorganic hybridization was studied and oxygen index and flame retardant efficiency of asphalt was improved effectively.

    The research by the National Natural Science Foundation and other funded projects 5, published SCI papers 8, EI papers 13, by the China Highway Society Science and Technology Award 1, the results incorporated into the civil engineering teaching instructor planning materials(《Road Subgrade and Pavement Engineering》,China Architecture& Building Press2014.Research, starting from the unique Angle of particles in the particle properties of asphalt mixture and its failure mechanism, set up particles pavement material multi-scale analysis framework and test platform, has paved the way for the mesoscopic damage mechanism analysis of asphalt pavement.

2.Deformation Mechanism of Asphalt Pavement in Complex Environment and Rune Control Measures

    The research by the National Natural Science Foundation and other funded projects 5, published SCI papers 10, EI paper 11, won the Hebei province science and technology prize three, published monograph 1(《Viscoelastic Deformation Mechanism and Rutting Prevention and Control Technology of Asphalt Pavement》,The Science Publishing Company2014.The research results from the active control measures, pavement structure and material optimization and high temperature warning and other aspects of the asphalt pavement anti-rutting comprehensive control system to guide Hebei, Shandong and other province more than 200 kilometers of pavement design, construction and conservation projects, economic and social benefits significantly.
