Resume
Professor Zhang’s expertise is on the evaluation of material and bridge structural behavior under extreme fire conditions. He is the committee member of Structural Fire Resistance Committee in China, and also the director of Research Center of Bridge Extreme Loading and Protection and the head of the Bridge Structural Fire Laboratory at Chang’an University. His research, undertaken with funding mainly from National Natural Science Foundation of China and Research Fund for the Central Universities of China. His research contributions have led to the development of fundamental understanding on the fire behavior of prestressed concrete bridge structural systems.Dr. Zhang has led to over 80 peer-reviewed papers in journals and conferences. He serves as a corresponding referee of dissertation from Education Ministry of China and National Natural Science Foundation of China.
