Dr. Chuanchao ZHENG is currently a Professor of transportation Engineering at Chang’an University since 1997.  He has advised scores of students. He has authored/coauthored over 70  journal articles and 2 books.  Theoretically, his interface model for bi-layer slab provides a theoretical understanding of the stress distribution for the composite cement concrete pavement. He formulates a new solution for the multi-layer elastic system and presents  transformations among Love‘s solution, Southwell’s solution and the new solution. Experimentally, he proves asphalt pavement damage dependency on load sequence. Practically，he has jointly formulated the code for road design in grassland.
