Gangfeng Wang received the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University, China, in 2015. From 2016-19, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Joint Postdoctoral Research Center of Chang’an University and Changlin Construction Machinery Group of China. He is currently an Associate Research Fellow with the Key Laboratory of Road Construction Technology and Equipment of MOE, Chang’an University, China. His main research interests include smart manufacturing, knowledge management, computer-aided product/process innovation, smart process planning, assembly precision analysis, decision making and optimization, and new product development of intelligent construction machinery. He has authored more than 30 publications in e.g., International Journal of Production Research, Assembly Automation, and the International Journal of Precision Engineering and Manufacturing. He is an active reviewer of numerous reputed international journals and conferences, and currently is the Co-Chair of the IEEE TEMS Technical Activity Committee on Design and Engineering Processes.
