ResumeDr. Hu received his B.S. (Mechanical Engineering) from the Qingdao Technological University at Qingdao city of China in 1983. M.S. (Construction Machinery) from the Southwest Jiaotong University at Chengdu city of China in 1989. Ph.D. (Construction Machinery) from the Chang'an University at Xi’an city of China in 1997. He worked in the Shandong Haihua Coal Chemical Industry Co. Ltd. engaged in chemical machinery from 1983 to 1986. He engaged in hoisting and conveying machinery and interested in structural dynamics from 1986 to 1989. Currently, he is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the School of Construction Machinery in Chang'an University, where has been since 1989. His research interests include terrain mechanics, dynamical performance and adaptive control of construction machinery as well as control based on machine vision, and his recent efforts have focused on R&D of construction robots and pavement concrete recycling equipment. The publications that he has authored/co-authored include more than 94 journal and conference publications and 3 books. Dr. Hu Presided over 27 provincial and ministerial research projects and involved in 14 national and provincial research projects, holds 29Chinese patents which related to construction machinery, transmission set and control set. He won the first prize in Shaanxi Province Joint Development Engineering Award and Shaanxi Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Chang'an University (Natural Science Edition).
