Dr. Xu is a lecturer & master tutor in Department of Safety Engineering, School of Geology Engineering and Geomatics, Chang'an University. He obtained his Master’s degree in Geology Engineering from Chang'an University, and Doctor's degree in Civil Engineering from TongJi University. He has been a visiting scholar in Department of Petroleum Engineering of University of North Dakota in USA for a year. His research interests include prevention and assessment of geological disasters, optimization and robust design, and safety of geological environment. He has presided over several research projects, and published more than 20 papers since taking the post.
