Dr. Kang is an Associate Professor in the School of Geological Engineering and Geomatics at Chang'an University. 

He earned his Ph.D. in Solid Mechanics from Xi'an Jiaotong University, an M.Eng. in Geological Engineering, and a B.S. in Geology from Chang'an University.

His research is devoted to geomechanics and geohazards.
