ResumeRuibao Li, associate professor of Chang`an University, has been focusing on the Continent-Ocean tectonic framework, forming processes, as well as its metallogenic significance for Central China Orogenic Belt (CCOB). Recent years, based on the application of integrated multidisciplinary research, e.g., zircon U-Pb chronology, whole-rock geochemistry, mineral geochemistry, isotope geochemistry, structural geology, he is trying to determine the formation ages and tectonic attribute for different types of oceanic crust fragment and key granitites occurring in South East Kunlun Orogen. His current research projects mainly explain how East Kunlun Orogen formed by compound accretionary and collision processes, which is related to Proto-Tethys and Paleo-Tethys Ocean in East Asian realm. We are always looking for motivated students to join us. Get in touch if you’re interested in studying tectonic processes!
