ResumeMatthew Brzozowski received his PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Windsor in 2018, and completed two postdoctoral fellowships at Nanjing University (2019–2020) and Lakehead University (2020–2023), and served as a mineral deposit geologist for the British Columbia Geological Survey (2023–2024). During his graduate and post-graduate career, he received a NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarship (MSc) and an NSERC Alexander Graham Bell Graduate Scholarship (PhD), and a Postdoctoral Fellow Excellence Award (Lakehead University). Matt joined Chang’an University as a professor in 2024. His research is primarily focused on understanding the petrogenesis of magmatic Ni–Cu–platinum-group element sulfide deposits and associated mafic–ultramafic intrusions through the application of bulk-rock and mineral geochemistry, radiogenic isotopes, and metal stable isotopes. He has published over 50 academic papers, including 12 articles as first or corresponding author, in high-impact international journals, including Economic Geology, Mineralium Deposita, Journal of Petrology, Chemical Geology, GSA Bulletin, Lithos, and Journal of Geochemical Exploration.
